The French writer, among the fathers of Romanticism, was small, had skin problems and a deformed shoulder. Yet, with its rich romance won many fans. His culinary reputation, according to tradition, dating back to a diplomatic mission to England. His cook prepared a tender fillet in a way that the British did not know: à la Chateaubriand, or with butter and béarnaise sauce (made with butter and herbs).
