Wuthering Heights Wuthering Heights - From Ch. XXV to XXXIV - Fourth and final stage

Edgar Linton succumbs to insistence of her daughter Cathy and agrees to bring it into contact with Linton, who becomes increasingly weak and sick, but also terrified by his father Heathcliff. The latter can, by deception, to do to marry the two boys.
Immediately after the marriage between the two, Edgar Linton dies, followed a short distance from Heathcliff's son Linton, which shows not feel any sorrow for the loss of her son, who indeed has always despised. Heathcliff in this way not only becomes the absolute master of Wuthering Heights but also Thrushcross Grange.



Here ends the story of Nelly Dean. Mr Lookwood part then to London. seven months later but returned to find Nelly but Thrushcross Grange to Wuthering Heights. It should then tell the last part of the story.

Hareton, in love with Cathy tries to get out of his condition and learn to read: Cathy, however, makes a mockery of him. But, slowly, their aversion weakens and soon develops between them a sincere affection. Heathcliff, which may well put an end to their relationship, he confesses to Nelly, who has since come to Wuthering Heights, have no more desire and interest to do so. He seems, more and more estranged from the surrounding world. At one point seems to be starting to see the ghost of Catherine who is haunting the house and hoping for a spiritual reconciliation between them. shortly thereafter is found dead in his bed. He is buried with his beloved Catherine and Hareton only tears.

Cathy and Hareton decide to marry, while the story concludes with Lockwood visiting the grave and denied that the spirits of Heathcliff and Catherine, finally free to love each other, roam the moors holding hands, as other hand, maintains the local superstition.
