"Porrajmos," the other face of the Holocaust exhibit in Creswell

Few know the meaning of the word "Porrajmos," even if it is part of our history as much as the Holocaust. It means "devouring" speaking Sinti. It encompasses all the atrocities of destiny now, like the Jews, Sinti and Roma. It 'also the title of the exhibition held in the Council Room of the City of Creswell Institute for the History of the Resistance of Biella and Vercelli.

"We chose Creswell - says the director of the institute, Enrico Pagano - following the events related to the presence of a Roma camp in the country. Our intention is to to spread as much as possible the story of these persecutions, of which few have news and memory. " The mayor, Marinella Venegoni, he immediately accepted the proposal with interest.

"Porrajmos. Other traces of a path to Auschwitz "unfolds through a thirty display panels with pictures, photographs and testimonies from the poor choices historiographical production of Roma and Sinti. The Nazi and Fascist Europe was the scene of the annihilation of at least half of the European nomadic people: 500,000 men, women and children killed, tortured and deported to concentration camps, victims of medical experiments, exterminated in gas chambers and ovens crematoria.

But in none of the trials of Nazis, even in that of Nuremberg, the tragedy was their space, until 1980 the German government officially recognized the racial persecution. And even the 2000 law establishing the Memorial Day remembers the extermination of Roma and Sinti. Yet

Porrajmos Holocaust and were generated by the same Christian and Catholic Europe in which we live today: "We belong intimately - Pagano adds - and not to perpetrate the oblivion in which it is likely to delete them, here is initiatives like this."

The exhibition will run until February 7, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 12.30pm.

Coach Store Letter Can't Buy

The containers and those funny guys Region

On January 20 came in a letter from the City Public Works Department , Soil, Montana Economy Forests and the Piedmont Region, by which the executive in charge demands the return of its housing units - that is, the container on the State in which the Roma family of 6 persons has so far spent the winter - because an inspection was not found an their use is consistent with the request of the City. And mentioning our motivation: "... to meet the emergency housing growing in our area due to increased enforcement of evictions." In their view, reasons do not exist.

The letter also brings up an argument dear to many who have made it a battle cry against the Administration, to the gypsy camp temporarily put on by the city just to deal with emergency housing. It reads: "The modules were located within an area of communal property used in illegal gypsy camp". What is not true.

Good. The nomads have destroyed their houses complying with an order of the City, and were therefore homeless. For containers that have been applied to the Civil Defense, just for emergency housing.

I was impressed by the absolute absence, in the letter of the Region, a reference to any human being is in there, as if six people - two parents who live there for at least 16 years, 4 daughters, three of them children - did not exist, and there was only the problem that container.

I tried the commissioner of the Region Ravello, I left my phone number. I was not called. Institutional rudeness? It 's true, I do not belong to his political education, but just this, not to recall a mayor who is looking for you?

You could start a battle on the issue, with those funny guys of the Region. But we do not. We will find another solution for the life of these people who are living here for many years and do not want to leave, with l'augurio che alle figlie possa toccare un futuro migliore rispetto ai loro genitori.

Kennedy, 50 years after valid words

On 20 January 1961, in a speech, the president of United States John F. Kennedy uttered a famous phrase, and still is useful
"Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country."

Frost at Midnight
(Samuel Taylor Coleridge)

The Frost Performs ITS secret ministry,

Unhelped By Any wind. The owlet's cry Came loud
,-and hark, again! loud as before.
The inmates of my cottage, all at rest, Have
left me to that solitude, which suits
Abstruser musings: save that at my side
My cradled infant slumbers peacefully.
'Tis calm indeed! so calm, that it disturbs
And vexes meditation with its strange
And extreme silentness. Sea, hill, and wood,
With all the numberless goings-on of life,
Inaudible as dreams! the thin blue flame
Lies on my low-burnt fire, and quivers not;
Only that film, which fluttered on the grate,
Still flutters there, the sole unquiet thing.
Methinks its motion in this hush of nature
Gives it dim sympathies with me who live,
Making it a companionable form,
Whose puny flaps and freaks the idling Spirit
By its own moods interprets, every where
Echo or mirror seeking of itself,
And makes a toy of Thought.

But O! how oft,
How oft, at school, with most believing mind,
Presageful, have I gazed upon the bars,
To watch that fluttering stranger! and as oft
With unclosed lids, already had I dreamt
Of my sweet birthplace, and the old church-tower,
Whose bells, the poor man's only music, rang
From morn to evening, all the hot Fair-day,
So sweetly, that they stirred and haunted me
With a wild pleasure, falling on mine ear
Most like articulate sounds of things to come!
So gazed I, till the soothing things, I dreamt,
Lulled me to sleep, and sleep prolonged my dreams!
And so I brooded all the following morn,
Awed by the stern preceptor's face, mine eye
Fixed with mock study on my swimming book:
Save if the door half opened, and I snatched
A hasty glance, and still my heart leaped up,
For still I hoped to see the stranger's face,
Townsman, or aunt, or sister more beloved,
My playmate when we both were clothed alike!

Dear Babe, that sleepest cradled by my side,
Whose gentle breathings, heard in this deep calm,
Fill up the interspersed vacancies
And momentary pauses of the thought!
My babe so beautiful! it thrills my heart
With tender gladness, thus to look at thee,
And think that thou shalt learn far other lore,
And in far other scenes! For I was reared
In the great city, pent mid cloisters dim,
And saw nought lovely but the sky and stars.
But thou, my babe! shalt wander like a breeze
By lakes and sandy shores, beneath the crags
Of ancient mountain, and beneath the clouds,
Which image in their bulk both lakes and shores
And mountain crags: so shalt thou see and hear
The lovely shapes and sounds intelligible
Of that eternal language, which thy God
Utters, who from eternity doth teach
Himself in all, and all things in himself.
Great universal Teacher! he shall mould
Thy spirit, and by giving make it ask.

Therefore all seasons shall be sweet to thee,
Whether the summer clothe the general earth
With greenness, or the redbreast sit and sing
Betwixt the tufts of snow on the bare branch
Of mossy apple-tree, while the nigh thatch
Smokes in the sun-thaw; whether the eave-drops fall
Heard only in the trances of the blast,
Or if the secret ministry
of frost Shall hang them up in silent icicles, Quietly shining
to the quiet Moon.

... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

Frost at Midnight

The Frost officiating his ministry secret
not helped by any wind. The cry of the young owl
made himself the highest - listen again! high as before.
muti come sogni! La sottile fiamma blu
giace nel mio fuoco spento, e non guizza;
interpreta secondo i suoi umori, ovunque
cercando eco o specchio di se stesso,
e fa del pensiero un giocattolo.

Ma Oh! Quanto spesso,
So sweetly, that moves me and
obsessed with wild pleasure, falling
in my ear, like articulate sounds of things to come
! So I looked, until the sweet dream,
rocks me to sleep, and sleep prolonged my dreams

rimuginai And so throughout the morning,
Terrified by the stern face of my tutor, my eyes focused
with mock study on My
Handbook swimming
Except when the door half opened, and I
I caught a quick glance, and my heart leaps
As yet I still hope to see the face of the alien
,
fellow townsman, or aunt, sister or loved one
My playmate when both
dressed in the same way!

Dear Child, sleeping in the cot next to me, which I
gentle breaths, heard in this deep calm, Fill the empty interstices

And momentary pauses of the thought!
My baby so beautiful!
touched my heart With tender gladness, and he looked, well
And to think that learning other knowledge,
And in many other scenarios! Since I was reared In the great city
enclosed in dark cloisters,
And I have not seen anything but the sweet sky and the stars.
But you, my child! tramps like a breeze at
lakes and sandy shores, beneath the cracks
of ancient mountains, and below the clouds, their masses
depicting lakes and beaches
And mountain crags: so you see and hear The lovely shapes and sounds

intelligible Of that eternal language, which thy God
pronunciation , who teaches eternity
Himself in all things and all things in himself.
Grandmaster universal! he fogger
Your spirit, and offering the will to ask questions.
Therefore all seasons shall be sweet for you,
When the summer as the whole earth
green, or the robin sings
rests and between clumps of snow on the bare branch Of mossy apple trees
, while the nearby roof paglia
Li farà pendere in silenziosi ghiaccioli,
che quietamente splendono alla quieta Luna.

She walks in beauty
( George G. Byron )

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

...............................

She goes radiant

She goes radiant, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
All the best of dark and the brightness
Meets in her eyes and her eyes softened
So to that tender light
What the pomp of the day denied the sky.

shade the more, one ray the less, they would
Spoiled part of the nameless grace Which waves
on her braid corvina
O softly illuminates her face, Where thoughts
clear and sweet
Pure and reveal the precious home.

on the cheek and o'er that brow,
So sweet, serene but eloquent, The smiles
exciting, bright colors
talk about improving on good days,
of a soul that is at peace with everything here,
a heart that loves innocent!

The mutability
(Percy Bysshe Shelley)

We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
So restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly! - Yet soon
the night closes round deletes:

Or like forgotten lyres, whose dissonant strings
make any different blast different answer,
To whose frail frame no second motion brings
One mood or modulation like to 'last.

We rest, and a dream has power to poison sleep.
We got up, and a wandering thought pollutes the day.
We feel, conceive or reason, laugh or weep
us cry, or throw our cares away:

è tutto uguale! Sia una gioia o un dolore,
il percorso da compiere dal suo abbandono non si è ancora concluso:
l'ieri dell'uomo non può mai essere simile al domani;

Civic Front Bumper Plate Bracket

Red investigated for Terre d'Acqua

From "La Stampa on Jan. 18, 2011 - Vercelli

edition of Robert Martini
sprout six names in the investigation on land of water. They are at the bottom of the notification by the extension of the investigation, requested by the prosecutor that the accounts of the Foundation commissioned an audit report. And are the names of six suspects: Roberto Rosso, Alessandro Giolito, Tino Candeli, Nicola Sirchia, Saviola and Roberto Gianfranco Chessa.Finora was known only Alexander's position Giolito, former Councillor of Trinity and a former member of the Board of Directors of land of water: for this dual position is under investigation for abuse of office.

It 's the first time however that shows the name of the parliamentary Trino Roberto Rosso, that land of water was responsible. The case for the prosecution to the deputy, and now regional coordinator of the fli are peculiar (in a period between 2005 and 2008), disturbed public auctions of freedom (in a period prior to February 2007) and aggravated fraud to obtain public funds (on several occasions from February to December 2007). Still embezzlement, freedom of the public upset charms and fraud are the hypothesis of charge for freelance Casale Nicola Sirchia, the only peculiar to the merchant and city councilor Tino Candeli Vercelli. The former provincial councilor Roberto Saviolo is under investigation for bribery instead, with incidents of the summer of 2006, while the former Director General of the Province Gianfranco Chessa the idea of impeachment is serious fraud. Roberto Rosso, Alessandro Giolito, Nicola Sirchia and Tino Candles are called in as administrators of the Foundation, and Gianfranco Chessa Roberto Saviolo as representatives of the Province in respect of land of water.

Other details of the investigation conducted by the section di polizia giudiziaria dei carabinieri e coordinata dal sostituto procuratore Pier Luigi Pianta, al momento non emergono. Today is

Roberto Rosso instead to speak: "I think it's crazy. We have avoided touching us the money, in fact, the Foundation has a CEO. We have never done great things. We have not taken or extorted money: I challenge anyone to prove otherwise. " Tranquility is also the slogan of the parliamentary Three: 'It is right that the judiciary occurs. And I trust it is shown that complete foreignness to all charges. We are assured of not having done nothing to be ashamed of ourselves. " Indeed, Red reverses the concept: "This is a story linked to cultural activities that I'm proud that I do not think of any failure could have created tipo».Tra le ipotesi d’accusa il peculato e la truffa per ottenere erogazioni pubbliche.

Who's Face Shape Do I Have

Choir of Creswell, the clay pigeon shooting and Silence

Great night, I thought free for once (since the unifying topic, music) from the Clay Pigeon (me, the mayor). Instead, the Board found that Hope was the right time to reproach me for having "criticized the band concert on the occasion of Christmas, made by volunteers to subtract time in their lives."
Ohibò. I am not been to a concert of Christmas, but at the end of lunch Banda, during which I suggested - good-naturedly - to the wind to prepare more. E 'offense? In my life, for professional reasons, I recorded the false notes of Liza Minnelli as Ligabue, Vasco or Springsteen (it happens, it happens) and I have to shut up if I hear a nota falsa quando nelle cerimonie ufficiali suona Il Silenzio?

Camera Repair Replace Front Element

City Council for the band, choir and the City of Creswell

Oggi alle 17,30 (un'ora che il Ministero dei Beni Culturali ritiene congrua, tanto che ha chiesto a tutti i Consigli Comunali italiani di riunirsi oggi, e tutti proprio a quest'ora) ci riuniremo - Maggioranza e Opposizione - in Consiglio, nella sala del nostro Common, where we want to recognize as interest groups, the Municipal Association Musicale Luigi Arditi, and propose to introduce in 2011 the budget item "Contribution to the enhancement of the activities of the group of amateur and folk music."
The measure will then be sent to the President of the National Board for the Promotion of Popular Music and Amateur at the Ministry of Culture.
What is this little ceremony? It 'a kind of consecration for those groups that operate in the non-profit, as happens with bands, and promote our music and attend events official or otherwise, during the year.
a letter, the Ministry has invited us to hold a council dedicated today at 17.30, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy.
Our band will be recognized as the other municipalities participating in the initiative, the National Interest.
And 'thank you to those who occupy his free time in these situations that make up the soundtrack to life of every community.
It seemed like a good thing. The more beautiful, almost romantic, it does today, with news coming from the Tg, an Italy which tells of the power and debauchery that has nothing to do with normal people, and the difficulties of their everyday life.
(Emilia and agitated: do not worry, Emily, will be all right)

Recliner Vs Coffee Table

simply in libreria...

Dear girls,
are just in this group and I am molto difficile creare un piccolo quadro di voi.

Honore de Balzac – La cugina Bette (prima snobbavo tanto Balzac, but when I re-read Eugenie Grandet, a couple of months ago, I changed my mind ... hope it will continue to like)
Jorge Luis Borge - Fictions (I simply adore Borge)
Raymond Chandler - The Big Sleep (one of my favorite writers - I read many years ago, but the book had been taken in the library, now it's finally my !!!!)
Sandor Marai - The Legacy of Eszter (I was simply enchanted by The Embers. ... by a the most beautiful books I've read recently, I have very high expectations, I hope not to disappoint)

And what were your last shopping ...?
(.... I'm curious as I know, I know ....)

Saluti da Ferrara

I wanted to post photos of our first meeting of the group, but we postpone pultroppo!
For various reasons of work, family and distances, our project meeting is blurred, sin!
But I understand perfectly, because I have tried to organize the event in my hometown where I was more congenial to have contacts with hotels and restaurants and of course where I had the pleasure to be your tour guide.
It means that maybe we try again another time and another city!

If you like, leave your comment and message, the city where you live, so to know you better! So maybe when one of us will be at xxx for work / study / leisure, you can write and tell you friend xxx "Saturday will be in your city, would you like a coffee together ?"... as you know I will look at Ferrara!! With

the occasion for this post I wanted to also embrace all and to remind you that virtually every-your-opinion-commentary on our post-review is always welcome, because we are a group of passionate readers who respect the opinions of the companions and especially because this virtual place in which we find ourselves, must still find a pleasant and peaceful! As you know there is no oblige read, post, and you can safely skip the books if you do not like proposed or if you just read, you may decide not to post a comment at each stage but only at the end of reading, you can speak freely with all the respect of fellow reading.
so I hope to have closed a chapter and not having angular più riprendere l'argomento spiacevole.

Un abbraccione con tanto affetto a tutte voi che siete sempre m e r a v i g l i o s e !!!!

Hybrid Conversion Kits

not true

I landed in Rome on 19 boxes, and I find a certain number of phone calls disturbing. Then my assistant Franco Allegranza told me that he was contacted by some local information officer: "They told me today on Raiuno Paola Perego asked you if you resign, and you said Oh yes."
Answer:
1) Paola Perego could not care less if I resign or not.
2) It would be news to anyone outside of our territory.
3) Paola Perego said: "This is true Marinella you besides your work do the mayor in a place called (and here the law) Crescentino?"
4) I say, "Oh Yes"
5) And she asks: "But it's easier to criticize or be criticized?"
6) I replied: "To criticize, criticize."
End of conversation at Creswell, and return to the previous theme for which I was there.
In all, not even 40 seconds.
my dear people, the wireless phone malfunctions, just bad. Ricordatevene forever.

Prima tappa di Cime Tempestose

Hello to all! there I wish you a sweet day of epiphany and a joyous year 2011 ...
I started reading the book three days ago, I do not have really made to start it before but ... to my surprise when I started I never stopped to complete the first step on this step and I think I'll arrive in time to comment on the second.
I read this book for the first time in 14 years and I was really pleased, I had not understood anything, but I had eaten because I was curious about the character of Cathy who was appointed and was this in a book that was strapiaciuto ("kamo" by Daniel Pennac).
I remember that years later I saw the film, or rather a television miniseries, but I do not remember, only a few scenes with a snowstorm in the middle of all that white cold Heathcliff a dark, warm, passionate and fascinating ...
So this surprised me in the first stage of writing fluency, nell'intrigo of history and the strange way, but pleasant, in which it is told. Of course it is absurd for someone to remember word for word, and those things that happened twenty years earlier ... I could not describe in detail the whole of last week ... I have not read your comments but they are very sorry for childhood and adolescence if only because Heathcliff had been well-liked and well-treaty would otherwise act ... but it would be another book ...
Happy reading! I will finish in time so I continue the second stage.

Farewell to plastic bags (but you may use up their stocks, and you do not pay)

(From sole24ore.com) From January 1

goodbye to the shopper, but only virtually. Retailers can in fact run out of stock, but without paying the bags to customers. Eye to the bill: will no longer appear in the "Shopper". The Ministry of Environment and the Economic Development have already announced they will be carried out to verify the "strict compliance". After three extensions
goodbye to envelopes pollutants in full swing, but serve several months - perhaps years - to make them disappear altogether. Some will continue to take them to the supermarket, others will use them to throw in the garbage and della differenziata riservato alla plastica, liberandosene definitivamente.
To reuse several times, thermal differences hold up to 50 degrees, and the latest generation are so impervious to overcome even the rain-proof. " However, after about six months, are at risk of tearing. "The law does not currently intend to - add the expert of the CNR - but on biodegradable bags should be given the date of manufacture and expiry, to ensure the consumer will tend to reuse them."

Homemade Fishing Sinker Molds

incontro libro e varie

Happy New Year to you all, I was a bit 'absent, justified: I was sick.
I tell you immediately that something happens to me when I started reading the last two books after the first few chapters I can not continue.
I tried to figure out why, I have come to a conclusion, lasciando aperta ancora l'analisi di questo comportamento.
comunque seguirò i vostri commenti graditissimi
Una comunicazione di servizio, ho cambiato indirizzo e-mail ora è : giovannagalliani@alice.it , inoltre vi annuncio che all'incontro non mi è permesso venire , la mia salute in questo periodo mi obbliga a stare in ritiro .
Sarò felicissima di leggere your report del'incontro Thurs
